• Deliverance is referenced particularly as rescue or liberation from bondage due to the influence of satan (demonization or evil). Deliverance ministry involves the integration of prayer, scriptures, and the guidance of the Holy Spirit to confront and stop mental, emotional, and physical torment via the authority of Jesus Christ found in the Bible only through Him. It encompasses expelling the demonic spirits, healing, salvation, and wholeness as defined by the Bible. For example, Jesus cast out a legion of spirits in Mark 5, he demonstrated an example of deliverance.

 

• The concept of deliverance is also described as the evidence of God's infilling on those who follow Him in Mark 16:17-20

" And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues; they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover."So then, after the Lord had spoken to them, He was received up into heaven, and sat down at the right hand of God. And they went out and preached everywhere, the Lord working with them and confirming the word through the accompanying signs. Amen."
